The Fisher Girl

In “The Fisher Girl,” BANE draws on the wall’s location right next to the river. The motif and visual language reference the tradition of fishing.

The sunflowers are a nod to Vincent van Gogh, who lived nearby for a time. In this way, the mural connects the history of the place with a reference to his artistic legacy.

The work was created as part of an urban art festival in Mons.
